Nested Cherry Bowls
Made from the same core of wood, the larger bowl was initially turned. The center of the larger bowl was strategically left behind, allowing a smaller bowl to be turned from it. Historically there were pole lathe turners who could 'nest' up to six bowls from one chunk of wood. Finished with pure tung oil. These bowls both have a knot and hole in the base, thus they are best as decorative or dry-goods bowls.
